Getting Where We Want To Go
TRAVEL AND TOURISM
If you are a commuter you know just how bad the roads have become. Even with Washington state DOT at maximum capacity, more must be done to alleviate the awful burden of commuter traffic. Millions of work hours a year and billions of dollars are wasted idling in the sea of cars.
America needs to fix this problem and a congressman who is going to take it seriously. No other candidate in this race is as serious about alleviating commuter traffic with national resources as Jack Hughes-Hageman. We need real bipartisan solutions to overhaul our aging highway system and look and innovative new options for getting people where they want to go.
Tourism is a huge part of the economy for district 8. The Chelan, Leavenworth, Mount Rainier, Snoqualmie Pass, and upper Kittias communities rely on that income to fund local governments, schools, and services they need to survive. These communities need all the support they can get so they can retain their market share of tourists and the revanue that comes with them.
Jack Hughes-Hageman understands the needs of small toursim businesses and seasonal lodges, growing up in a small tourist community himself. He will do everything he can to make sure your communities stay vibrant and welcoming for years to come.
"Washington's 8th distric deserves a congressman who will take tourism and traffic seriously. "
